First Sweater Series!

You want to knit a sweater – I know you do... Here’s your chance. Join Annissa for these Saturday late afternoon knit sessions to get that done. This Knit-together is designed for those ready to take a leap, even if you think you can’t. You should be comfortable with the knit and purl stitches, we’ll cover knitting in the round, increasing, decreasing, picking up stitches and basic sweater construction concepts. I promise you will LOVE it! When we work together and support each other we can get your first sweater done – and maybe more – sweaters!

First Sweater Series $50 plus cost of yarn and other supplies.I have reduced the class fee because you are asked to purchase a sweater’s worth of yarn from the Stitch House.

Saturdays September 10, 17, 24 and October 1, 8 (open knit) and October 15 from 4-6pm

Materials Required:

We will all work on the same sweater – Southwood from Galt House of Yarn. This is a free pattern on Ravelry. Feel free to download and print a copy for yourself, but DO NOT read and get overwhelmed... it is an EASY pattern, I promise!

We will make a swatch prior to starting our sweater knitting (swatching is important!). The pattern calls for a US 8 needle for the body. If you are a tight knitter also bring a US 9 for swatching, if a loose knitter bring a US 7 needle. You will also need a needle for the ribbing. This needle is 2 sizes smaller than your main needle. You will also need stitch markers and a sense of humor.

Yarn suggestions:

Berroco Ultra Wool $13 each

Malabrigo Rios $16 each

Plymouth Galway Worsted $11 each
