GTK+ is a great workshop to familiarize yourself with how sewing machines work: turning it on, threading the machine and bobbin, learning the basic stitches and functions and how to care for it. We will also review pattern selection, fabric options and where to begin your sewing journey/ We have plenty of scraps to practice your stitches and some easy techniques. 
 
In this session you will also make a stitch swatch to practice some of your machine’s stitches, review buttonhole making (if your machine has this function) and button attachment techniques. Fabric Swatch will be provided.
 
If you're bringing your own machine, please bring all the pieces and the manual (if you can find it!). Or feel free to use one of our machines.
