Stitch markers for socks, designed to keep you on track when working with dpns. Also great for two-at-a-time on circulars or magic loop.

How to use Sox Marx (tm) stitch markers for socks

Cuff down on double-pointed needles: First needle - cast on a few stitches, place the marker with 1 colored bead onto your needle, continue casting on the required number of stitches for the first needle; Second needle - cast on a few stitches, place the marker with 2 colored beads onto your needle, continue casting on the required number of stitches for the second needle. Continue in this manner with the third and fourth needles and markers. Join to work in-the-round and knit in 1-2-3-4 order. If you lose your place, or flip your work inside out, the markers will get you back on track.

Toe up on double-pointed needles: When it comes time to distribute your stitches onto 4 dpns, place the marker with 1 colored bead onto the first dpn, place the marker with 2 colored beads onto the second dpn, place the marker with 3 colored beads onto the third dpn, and place the marker with 4 colored beads onto the fourth dpn. Always knit in 1-2-3-4 order.

2-at-a-time on circulars or magic loop: Depending on how you cast on (directly onto the circulars or magic loop, or onto dpns then transfer to circulars or magic loop), place the markers in the order of your work. For example, if you are working in order of first sock sole sts, second sock sole sts, second sock instep sts, first sock instep sts, place the markers in 1-2-3-4 order around the sections.
